On 6 July, 2023, the Nickel Institute held its inaugural Battery Day, an outstanding success. The goal of the event was to put the focus on advances in nickel-containing battery technologies, take a look at some emerging applications and examine the role of recycling. The speakers included Nobel prize winner for chemistry, Professor Stanley Whittingham and Dr. Jeff Dahn, NSERC/Tesla Canada Industrial Research Chair at Dalhousie University, both leading names in the battery space.
