Seminar on Stainless Steel in the Water Industry, Poland

January 8, 2008 -- The Nickel Institute and ID Inox (the French Stainless Steel Development Association) were invited to give a joint seminar in Warsaw on January 8, 2008 on the use of stainless steels in the water industry. The event was organized by Polska Unia Dystrybotorow Stali, the Polish Steel Distributors' Association. About 75 people from the water and stainless steel industries attended. They took a keen interest in the developing European Approval Scheme, characteristics of stainless steels, correct fabrication and use, life cycle costing, experience in the water industry from around the world, and opportunities for stainless reinforcing bar in civil works. The invitation was a direct result of participation in the ID Inox water seminar in Marseilles in November 2007.
