Nickel Producers Commit to Charter

Nickel Magazine, September 2007 -- Eighteen of the world’s leading producers of nickel, representing more than 90% of annual output, have agreed to a Charter of Sustainability (see above).

The Charter commits the members of the Nickel Institute to various principles of sustainability including stewardship of all kinds.

“This development formalizes past practice as policy and will become even more influential in how the Nickel Institute interacts with the nickel value chain, stakeholders and society as a whole,” says Bruce McKean, Director, Sustainability.
