REACH/GHS Implementation Seminars
July 18, 2007 -- The European Association of Metals (Eurometaux) and the International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM) have jointly organized an outreach seminar to provide metals specific guidance and training on Europe's new chemicals policy, REACH, and to introduce the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). The seminars will take place in three three cities this summer:

- South Africa: Johannesburg, 7 August 2007
- Asia Pacific: Singapore: 14-15 August 2007
- North America: Washington, 21 August 2007
Hugo Waeterschoot, ENIA General Secretary will represent the Nickel Institute during these Seminars.
Who should attend? These seminars will be particularly usefully for:

- Nickel salt producers who export to the EU and are not yet a member of the Nickel Institute;
- Important users of nickel exporting semi-finished nickel-containing materials to the EU;
- All nickel producers for the GHS session; and
- Mining sector which exports to the EU nickel-containing products.
