NiPERA Director Addresses Surface Finishers
May 2, 2007 -- Dr. Hudson Bates, Director of NiPERA, gave a 30-minute presentation today at the National Association of Surface Finishers (NASF) meeting in Washington, D.C. In his presentation, he highlighted upcoming changes in regulatory classifications for nickel compounds in the EU, anticipated changes to nickel Occupational Exposure Limits, and the lack of nickel related effects in a reproductive epidemiological study of female nickel workers. This presentation was one of a long series of such presentations to the NASF aimed at ensuring good communication of developing nickel related regulatory issues to downstream nickel users.
