Steel is the most common but others included copper, brass, stainless steel, zinc, aluminum and plastics. This publication presents a historical review of the industry and describes its present status and future expectations. It also describes the technical progress that has been responsible for the improved performance and acceptance of plated plastics. The size of the market and growth forecasts are discussed and related to total nickel consumption in the electroplating industry.
