...that almost all of the nickel ever mined is still in use?
...that alloys have properties that differ from the elements that go into them?
...that nickel is essential for accurate, efficient data storage?
...that stainless steel is highly recycled because of the valuable nickel it contains?

Nickel Magazine, November, 2005 -- In June 2003, we published twelve cartoons as user-friendly teaching aids for educators and public relations communicators in the nickel and stainless steel industries. Since then, we have measured the number of times those cartoons have been downloaded from our website and found the response to be overwhelming. So, we've asked Toronto-based artist Mark Crozier to create eleven more cartoons:

Mined Nickel

Properties

Data Storage

Your Body

EU Economy

EU Jobs

Chemicals

Air Travel

Rebar

Coinage

Recycle

Each cartoon can be downloaded as a managable file (15-45 kB jpg). So, we invite you to use them in your internal and external communications plans.

Embeded in each illustration is a web address where you can get more detailed information on the topic introduced by the cartoon.

Go to an individual cartoon page by clicking on a title above.
