This congress is being organized by the University of Sevilla and CEDINOX on behalf of the European Steel Institutes Confederation (ESIC).

As at previous events, the congress is devoted to a broad and interdisciplinary overview of new results and emerging trends and challenges on stainless steel science and technology. Scientists, technologists, manufacturers and end users are invited to attend the conference and present their work to the stainless steel community. It includes oral and poster presentations as well as an industrial exhibition so that manufacturers, suppliers and end users can show their most recent products. Special attention will be paid to students with reduced fees to encourage their participation. A book of proceedings with the full text of all the works presented in the conference will be distributed to the delegates attending the congress.

The congress will take place in Sevilla, the capital of Andalucia the southernmost region of Spain and one of the oldest cities in Europe plenty of arts and monuments from the Fenicians to the most modern. In Seville weather in September is sunny with temperatures around 28°C.
