'98 Once the dominant life cycle stage is identified, the designer should evaluate the initial design options against the Core Principles/Key Considerations outlined above. Since the Core Principles/Key Considerations are applicable to each life cycle stage, improvement strategies can be identified which are specific to a particular stage. However, it is imperative that the designer evaluates these suggested improvements against the other stages of the life cycle lest the integrated environmental impacts induce actions that lead to an overall negative effect on the environment. Suggested improvement strategies are presented in Table F-2.
