Nickel Risk Assessment Web Site Launched
May 12, 2003 -- The European Union (EU) is conducting a full risk assessment of nickel
sulphate, nickel carbonate, nickel nitrate, nickel oxide, soluble nickel and metallic nickel.
The nickel industry's two lead associations, the Nickel Development Institute (NiDI) and the Nickel Producers
Environmental Research Association (NiPERA), are working together through the European Nickel Group Risk
Assessment Team to ensure that the assessment is conducted using sound scientific practice and the best
available information.
